December 11th

ROBBERY

Reported at 6:04pm - Advance America Cash Advance - 9315 SR# 14

SPD received a 911 report of a robbery at the above location. The on duty employe was restrained with duct tape by the lone suspect - a white male wearing all black clothing. No weapons were displayed. An undisclosed amount of cash was taken, and the incident is currently under investigation.

November 25th

ATTEMPTED AUTO THEFT

Reported at 10:51AM - 771 Providence Court

Resident reports unkown person(s) have attempted to enter a locked 1997 Isuzu parked in a community garage in the development. The lock was found to be tampered with and something was found in the ignition of the vehicle.

November 23rd

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

Reported at 9:28PM - 1987 Frost Road

Wife reported a physical altercation with her husband via 911. Upon investigation by SPD, Eric Timko, age 37 of Streetsboro, was arrested and charged with Domestic Violence and transported to the Portage County Justice Center.

November 21st

STOLEN AUTO

* Reported at 12:22pm - 849 Diane Drive

Resident reports a 1993 Plymouth Voyager was stolen out of the driveway of the residence overnight. The vehicle was recovered in Cleveland by Cleveland PD on 11/22/2007.

November 17th

DUI

Lisa Dascenzo, age 21 of Streetsboro, was arrested for DUI and a Marked Lanes violation after being stopped by SPD on Page Road at 9:31PM and failing field sobriety testing.

November 15th

BURGLARY

A Root Dr. resident reports her purse stolen from her residence overnight. The purse and its contents were located on a neighbor's lawn. A window at the rear of the residence was found open after it had been closed the previous night.

ROBBERY



On 11/8/2007 at 21:34 hours, the Subway restaurant at 9757 SR 14 was robbed. Suspect jumped over the counter, took cash, and forced employees to leave out the front door. Suspect left in an unknown direction in a vehicle described as possibly being a mid-sized, 4 door sedan, silver in color. Suspect (pictured above) is described as a black male, approximately 5’10”-6’00” tall, wearing glasses, a grey hoodie, and a knit (beanie) hat.

THEFT/SCAM




Two unidentified females recently approached a woman at Streetsboro Giant Eagle. Subjects told victim that they had found a large sum of cash. In order to determine if the cash was counterfeit, they claimed that they needed to compare the serial numbers to cash withdrawn from the victim's bank. In return for her assistance, victim was to receive a cut of money. Suspects accompanied the victim in her vehicle to the bank where she withdrew $1,100. They then drove to a local store where they said their ‘boss’ would examine the cash. Before exiting the vehicle, they also told the victim that their boss could also appraise the victim’s jewelry. Victim then gave then gave them the jewelry that she was wearing. Suspects walked around the front of the building and did not return.

October 13th

OPEN CONTAINER

Agents from the Ohio Department of Public Safety reported observing a vehicle operator drinking alcohol while driving, nearly striking their vehicle. SPD stopped the vehicle. The driver was determined to not be under the influence, but was found to be driving with a suspended drivers license. He was cited for having an Open Container and Driving Under Suspension.

October 12th

CURFEW & ALCOHOL VIOLATIONS

Officers responded to the area of Seymour Drive after receiving reports of juveniles smashing pumpkins. A group of juveniles was located, who fled from officers. One of the located juveniles was located and charged with Curfew. A second located juvenile was charged with Prohibitions for alcohol consumption and Curfew. Both juveniles were released to their parents.

October 15th

Domestic Violence

A man came to the station to report the mother of his child allegedly slapped him three times in the evening, leaving scratches on his face. The woman was charged with Domestic Violence.

Complainant reports that two unlocked vehicles were entered at the residence overnight, and a pack of cigarettes was taken.

October 7th

CRIMINAL DAMAGING

* Reported at 3:34pm - 1102 Frost Rd. #202 - Woodview Apartments

Complainant reports that a male subject jumped on the hood of his car and smashed the windshield. Complainant did not pursue criminal charges at the time of the report.

Officers responded to a 911 call from Circle K on SR# 303. Upon investigation, Frededie Lardell, age 53, 9121 Ranch Rd. #24, Streetsboro, Ohio was arrested for Felonious Assault and transported to Portage Co. Jail.

* Reported at 4:21pm - 1144 SR# 303 - Target

Target loss prevention reports a female shoplifted $230.00 worth of gift cards and infant clothing from their store. Upon investigation, Theft charges were filed against Krystal J. Orr, age 20, 875-7 Hampton Circle, Aurora, Ohio.

Resident reports being downstairs in basement, heard noise upstairs and observed 2 black males and 1 white male, approximately 15-16 years of age, attempting to enter. Officers checked the area and were unable to locate the suspects. Incident remains under investigation.

Officers responded to a complaint of a vehicle speeding through Camelot Village. Upon investigation, Cody J. Rini, age 20, 1549 King Arthur Way was arrested for DUI, Driving Under Suspension, and Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor after open alcohol was discovered in the vehicle with a juvenile passenger. The juvenile was also charged with Underage Drinking/Prohibitions.

A Hazelton resident reports her ex-boyfriend just left her residence and sliced her tires before leaving the property. The boyfriend was found walking on Frost Rd. A patdown led to discovery of drug paraphernalia on his person. Raymond A. Priester, age 34, 6650 Cleveland Rd., Ravenna, Ohio was arrested for Drug Paraphernalia and Criminal Mischief.

Owner reports his 1994 white Chevy 3500 pick-up with utility box on the back, and a black trailer attached was stolen overnight.

Owner reports his 1996 Harley Davidson Ultra-Classic, maroon in color, was stolen from the parking lot area of Lowes. The incident remains under investigation.

Complex reports damage was caused to picnic tables beloning to the development.

THEFT

* Reported at 4:51PM - 761 Antler Trail.

Resident reports that two bikes were taken out of her garage. The bikes were subsequently recovere and returned to the owner.

September 16th Reports

DISTURBANCE

Officers responded to a report of a disturbance between two relatives where one was going to damage the other's vehicle. Upon investigation, Sonny Wiseman, age 32, was found to have an active arrest warrant through Broadview Heights PD. He was arrested on the warrant and turned over to them.

Officer initiated a traffic stop near the Fairfield Inn. Upon investigation, Hemerson Reyes, 120 E. 192nd St, Euclid, Ohio, age 22, was arrested for DUI.

A male subject was observed urinating in the intersection of SR# 14/43. The subject then drove through a red light. After investigation, Melvin Wilson, 865 Detroit Rd, Youngtown, age 21, was arrested for DUI, Red Light, Driving Under Suspension & Public Indecency.

Subject reports a radio and CD's were taken from a 1996 Red Chevy Beretta while parked in the front row.

After making a traffic stop for investigation of a passing violation, Christopher Dayton, 291 Duer Ct., Akron, age 24, was arrested for DUI.

Two co-workers report an altercation over a female co-worker where one party reportedly assaulted the other party on September 1st. The complainaint declined criminal prosecution and the parties were advised.

Upon initiating a traffic stop in the area of Cecil Dr. / June Dr., Denise Collins, 9342 Gerald Dr., Streetsboro, age 39 was arrested for DUI.

A vehicle was stopped for a speeding violation and upon investigation the driver was determined to be under the influence. Joseph Machin, 1975 Frost Rd, age 54, was arrested for DUI and Speeding.

Officers responded to a report of a private property accident in the parking lot at Scorchers. Upon investigation, Angelique Moore, 699 Silver Meadows, Kent, Ohio, age 31 was arrested and charged with DUI, Driving Under Suspension, and Hit-Skip.

Officers responded to a report of a disturbance. Upon investigation, Penni Simmons, 4822 Valley Hills Dr., Ravenna, age 27 was arrested for Assault, Possession of Drugs, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

September 5th Reports

STOLEN CAR

Owner reports a 1996 Chrysler Concord was stolen from the residence between 4:30am-6:00am. The keys were in the vehicle. The vehicle was later recoverd at the American Legion in town, and the case remains under investigation.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT

* Reported at 2:45AM - SR# 14 near McDonalds

Officers located an intoxicated subject walking across SR# 14 near the entrance to McDonalds. After investigatin, Mario Rauzi, 1247 Pleasant Valley, Westminster, Maryland, age 28, was arrrested for Disorderly Conduct and transported to Portage Co. Jail.

Resident reports that her 2005 Red Ford Escape was stolen out of her driveway. The vehicle was un-locked. The vehicle was later recovered in Ravenna and the case is under investigation.

Police responded to a call of a white male leaving the store on foot with beer without paying for it. The suspect was not located.

* Occurred at 3:00AM (8/26) - 800 Mondial Pkwy. - Hampton Inn & Suites

Police responded to a report of a suspicious red Grand Caravan with Virginia license plates with the side door open. Responding officers checked it and determined it belonged to a patron.

* Occurred at 6:17AM (8/26) - 1425 Frost Rd. - Camelot Village

Police responded to a report of a white pick-up truck driving slowly through the park. The vehicle was located and checked OK.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE

* Occurred at 7:49AM (8/26) - 167 Cackler Rd.

Resident reports damage was caused to the mailbox. No suspects at time of report.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE & THEFT

* Reported at 1:52PM (8/26) - 1667 Evergreen Dr.

Resident reports that sometime overnight, a window was broken out on a vehicle and the temporary license plate on the damaged vehicle was stolen. The temporary tag# is N473377. There are no suspects at time of report.

Business reports a rowdy male patron is refusing to leave the bar. Business declined to pursue criminal charges. Subject was transported by police to an area hotel.
